There are 4 major objective areas that the Microsoft Excel Expert certification, MO-211, tests:
Workbooks and Worksheets
Formatting and Data
Functions, Formulas, and Data
Charts and Tables
The two objectives our students struggle with the most are 2 and 3, based on what TestOut reports to me. TestOut doesn't tell me what specific tasks they're missing, just the objectives.
So I asked ChatGPT Pro to scour the Interwebs (forums, sub-reddits, social media in general) and identify specific tasks people report having trouble with on Microsoft's MO-211.
From that, I and my schmoozy ChatGPT partner then put together...
a worksheet of practice problems, with those tasks,
an answer key with brief notes on points of failure (where students often get the task wrong), and
a more detailed troubleshooting guide, to help students who, after they've attempted the task, see a reult that indicates that something went wrong.
